Books about the Jewish heritage of Lviv in the Museum's library

22.10.2024

On the penultimate Sunday of October, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” celebrated its 12th birthday. We received a large number of greetings, both personally and from those who visited the Museum directly. Warm words, wishes and a positive assessment of activities, including new exhibitions, are the best incentive not to stop and continue the work.

Our Museum is not only an opportunity to visit the largest permanent exhibition in Ukraine, dedicated to the history and culture of the Jews of Ukraine, but also one of the most interesting libraries of our city, which is regularly replenished with new scientific, popular science and artistic editions of leading Ukrainian and foreign publishing houses.

On the occasion of the Museum's birthday, our old friend and partner, one of the leaders of the revival of Jewish life in Ukraine, journalist, publicist and public figure Oleg Rostovtsev handed over two important books dedicated to the Jewish cultural heritage of Lviv to the library. It is worth noting that the scientific editor of these wonderful publications was another friend of the Museum – the famous historian, professor of the Northwestern University (Chicago, USA) Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern.

We sincerely thank Mr. Oleg for a valuable gift for our visitors and invite everyone to the Museum's library.
